Life between the 20th century and the 16th century is so different since they reflect a great history of advancement in technology, society, and culture. All these changes shaped human existence and transformed all dimensions of how people would live, work, and how people relate to one another.

Technological Advances:
Among the stark contrasts, there stands out a strong one, which is related to technological advancement. Technology was very primitive in the 16th century. Even though innovations of such great proportions as the invention of the printing press had already occurred in the middle of the 15th century and transformed the way that people acquired knowledge, everyday life was still mainly agrarian and largely labor-intensive.

In contrast, the 20th century saw unprecedented technological advance. The discovery of electricity, the telephone, the automobile, and the airplane changed daily life dramatically. Computers and the internet, born in the latter half of the century, revolutionized communication, education, and business. These technologies made information more accessible, brought people together globally, and increased productivity.
